AC/DC's "High Voltage" was recorded at Albert Productions studio in Sydney, Australia in 1974 and released in February 1975. The album was produced by Harry Vanda and George Young of the Easybeats, who shaped the raw, blues-based hard rock sound that became the band's signature. Recorded on a relatively modest budget with basic equipment, the production captured the band's live energy through straightforward recording techniques that emphasized Angus Young's guitar work and Bon Scott's powerful vocals. The album's success in Australia led to its re-release with different track listings in other markets, including the UK and US, establishing AC/DC as a major force in hard rock music.
