Recording took place during a period of significant lineup changes, with this being one of the final albums featuring original bassist Mark Evans before he was replaced by Cliff Williams. The production emphasized the band's raw, straightforward rock sound with minimal studio embellishment, capturing their live energy through relatively straightforward recording techniques.
