Domino — WIGLP317X

AM, Arctic Monkeys' fifth studio album, was recorded primarily at Genius Studios in Los Angeles and other locations between 2012 and 2013. The album was produced by Rick Rubin, known for his minimalist production approach, alongside the band members themselves, with James Ford co-producing several tracks. The recording process reflected a significant sonic shift for the band, incorporating hip-hop influences, electronic elements, and a more stripped-down production style compared to their previous work, partly inspired by the Los Angeles environment where much of it was recorded. The album featured live instrumentation combined with electronic production, with Rubin's signature approach of capturing raw performances and emphasizing clarity and space in the mix. Released in September 2013, AM marked a deliberate artistic evolution and became one of the most commercially successful Arctic Monkeys albums.
