Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab — MFSL 1-037

Cosmo's Factory was recorded at the Band's studio in Woodstock, New York, and at various Los Angeles studios during 1969-1970, with production handled by the band members themselves alongside engineer Russ Gary. The album was engineered primarily at Wally Heider Studios in Los Angeles, known for its advanced recording capabilities at the time. John Fogerty continued the band's practice of writing, arranging, and producing much of their own material, maintaining tight creative control over the sessions. The recording process benefited from the band's growing experience and confidence following the success of their previous albums, resulting in a more sophisticated production sound while retaining their swamp rock and roots music aesthetic. The album was released in 1969 and became one of CCR's most commercially successful works, reaching number one on the Billboard charts.
