Green River — Creedence Clearwater Revival

Creedence Clearwater Revival

Green River

First released

Green River, the second studio album by Creedence Clearwater Revival, was recorded in 1969 at Los Angeles studios including Golden State and RCA Studios. The album was produced by John Fogerty along with Saul Zaentz and engineered by Rein Vano, who played a crucial role in capturing the band's signature sound. The recording sessions took place during a period of intense creativity and commercial success for the band, following the massive success of their debut album. Fogerty's meticulous approach to production and arrangement became increasingly evident on this album, with careful attention paid to overdubbing and layering of instruments to create depth and richness in the recordings. The album was completed and released in August 1969, becoming one of the band's most successful works with hits like "Proud Mary" and "Bad Moon Rising."
