Love Over Gold, Dire Straits' third studio album, was recorded at EMI's Abbey Road Studios in London during 1984 and produced by the band themselves alongside engineer Nick Davis. The album was engineered with a focus on clarity and precision, utilizing advanced recording techniques that showcased Mark Knopfler's guitar work with exceptional sonic detail.
