Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab — MFSL 1-030

Slowhand was recorded at various locations between 1976 and 1977, primarily at the Record Plant in Los Angeles and other studios. The album was produced by Eric Clapton alongside Glyn Johns, who served as co-producer and engineer, bringing his extensive experience from working with major rock acts. The recording sessions featured Clapton's then-current band lineup and marked a shift toward more accessible, radio-friendly material compared to his previous work. The album benefited from a relatively straightforward production approach that emphasized Clapton's guitar work and vocal delivery while incorporating elements of rock, blues, and pop. Slowhand became one of Clapton's most commercially successful releases, reaching multi-platinum status and establishing several of its tracks as enduring rock standards.
