Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab — MFSL 1-086

Nice 'n' Easy was recorded between December 1959 and March 1960 at Capitol Studios and United Recording Studios in Hollywood, California. The album was produced by Nelson Riddle, who also arranged the orchestral accompaniment, with engineer Lee Herschel overseeing the technical aspects of the sessions. Sinatra's interpretative approach focused on intimate, relaxed vocal delivery rather than vocal virtuosity, complementing Riddle's sophisticated but restrained arrangements. The recordings were part of Sinatra's final sessions with Capitol Records before his move to Reprise Records, making this a significant transitional project in his career. The album exemplified the "easy listening" aesthetic of the late 1950s, emphasizing smoothness and emotional directness over technical complexity.
