Island — HELP 16

(No Pussyfooting) was recorded at Island Studios in London in 1973 by guitarist Robert Fripp and producer/keyboardist Brian Eno. The album featured extensive use of Frippertronics, a tape-based delay system designed by Fripp that created loops and layered textures from his guitar work, which became a defining characteristic of the sound. Eno contributed synthesizer and treatments while also serving in a production role, with the two artists exploring ambient and experimental textures during sessions that captured a collaborative improvisation approach. The album was released in 1973 and is considered a pioneering work in ambient and experimental rock music, representing an early collaboration between two influential figures who would continue working together on subsequent projects.
