Polydor — 2343 095

(No Pussyfooting) was recorded in 1973 at the Island Studios in London and released in 1973 as the first collaborative album between guitarist Robert Fripp and producer/keyboardist Brian Eno. The album was produced by both Fripp and Eno, with engineer Rhett Davies overseeing the technical aspects of recording. The album featured innovative use of Frippertronics, Fripp's pioneering tape loop guitar technique, combined with Eno's synthesizer work and production aesthetics to create abstract, minimalist soundscapes. The recording sessions were relatively sparse and experimental, focusing on texture and timbre rather than traditional song structures, establishing a template for ambient and electronic music that would influence subsequent decades.
