Third Man Records — TMR-271

Lazaretto, the second solo album by Jack White, was recorded primarily at his own Third Man Pressing plant in Nashville, Tennessee, and at other locations including his home studio. The album was produced by White himself along with engineer Vance Powell, known for his work on previous White Stripes and Raconteurs projects. White employed unconventional recording techniques including the use of vintage analog equipment and deliberately primitive recording methods to capture raw, immediate performances. The album was notable for its experimental approach to production, featuring heavily layered vocal arrangements and instrumental overdubs that contrasted with the minimalist aesthetic of some of his earlier work. Released in 2014, Lazaretto marked White's continued exploration of self-sufficiency in production following the success of his first solo album Blunderbuss.
