Lazaretto — Jack White

Jack White

Lazaretto

First released

Lazaretto, Jack White's second solo album, was recorded primarily at his own Third Man Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, during 2013 and early 2014. The album was produced by Jack White alongside Vance Powell, an engineer and producer known for his work with The White Stripes and other alternative acts. White employed a mix of analog and digital recording techniques, with a notable emphasis on capturing live, immediate performances rather than heavily layered studio production. The album notably features innovations such as a playable vinyl record embedded in the album artwork—a technological feat achieved through a collaboration with Third Man Pressing. Released in June 2014, Lazaretto debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and reflected White's continued exploration of raw, guitar-driven rock music in the context of his independent label Third Man Records.
