Fish People — FP8CD

Aerial is Kate Bush's ninth studio album, recorded between 2001 and 2005 after a twelve-year hiatus from recording. Bush worked primarily at her own home studio, incorporating recordings made in various locations including concerts and outdoor settings. The album was produced by Kate Bush herself in collaboration with producer/engineer Nigel Godrich, known for his work with Radiohead, who helped shape the album's intricate soundscapes. Bush employed innovative recording techniques including the use of ambisonic microphones and field recordings, blending orchestral arrangements with experimental electronic elements. The double album was released in February 2005 and marked a significant return for Bush, showcasing her distinctive artistic vision and demonstrating her hands-on approach to production after years away from the recording industry.
