Oasis

(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?

First released

(What's the Story) Morning Glory? was recorded primarily at the Gallagher brothers' residential studio in Mornington Crescent, London, between late 1995 and early 1996, with additional sessions at other London studios including the Miles Ahead Studio. The album was produced by Owen Morris and Noel Gallagher, with engineer Paul Schroeder assisting on key tracks. Morris employed a relatively straightforward, guitar-driven production approach that emphasized the band's raw energy and songwriting while utilizing standard rock instrumentation and recording techniques of the era. The sessions took place during a period of intense creative output for the band and were completed in approximately two months. The album's success, released in October 1995 alongside the debut Definitely Maybe, helped establish Oasis as central figures in the Britpop movement.
