Harvest — SHVL 795

Meddle was recorded between 1970 and 1971 at various locations including Abbey Road Studios and other facilities in London. The album was produced by Pink Floyd themselves along with engineer John Leckie, who played a crucial role in capturing the band's evolving sound during this transitional period. The band experimented with multitrack recording techniques and expanded their use of studio effects, particularly evident on tracks like "Echoes" which featured complex layering and sound design. The recording took place during a time when the band was adjusting to the absence of founding member Syd Barrett, with David Gilmour now established as guitarist. Meddle marked the band's continued move toward the sophisticated progressive rock sound that would define their later commercially successful albums.
