Steve McQueen, the second album by British pop band Prefab Sprout, was recorded in 1985 at Miles Copeland's Charisma Studios in London and other locations. The album was produced by Prefab Sprout's frontman Paddy McAloon alongside producer Thomas Dolby, whose electronic production expertise helped shape the album's sophisticated pop sound. The recording featured extensive use of synthesizers and drum machines alongside traditional instrumentation, reflecting the mid-1980s production aesthetic.
