The album was produced by Radiohead themselves alongside longtime collaborator Nigel Godrich, who served as executive producer and engineer. Notable technical choices included the use of orchestral arrangements and string instruments recorded by the London Contemporary Orchestra, representing a departure toward more experimental and atmospheric production compared to their previous work.
