Kid A Mnesia is a 2021 compilation and reissue project by Radiohead that combined the original Kid A and Amnestyc albums with previously unreleased material. The original recordings for Kid A and Amnestic were made between 1999 and 2000 at various locations including a converted warehouse in Paris and sessions in Oxford, with producer Nigel Godrich overseeing the sonic direction. The reissue project involved Godrich and the band working with stems and original recordings to create new mixes and present unreleased tracks in updated contexts. The album marked a significant use of digital production techniques and experimental recording methods that were pioneering for rock music at the turn of the millennium. The 2021 reissue utilized modern mastering and mixing practices while maintaining the artistic vision of the original sessions.
