KID A MNESIA is a compilation released in 2021 combining material from Radiohead's 1999 and 2000 albums KID A and AMNESTIC, along with previously unreleased tracks recorded during the same sessions. The original sessions took place between 1998 and 2000 at various locations including Medley Studios in Devon and multiple other studios, with producers Nigel Godrich serving as the primary producer and engineer alongside band members. The album marked a deliberate shift from the guitar-driven rock of OK Computer, incorporating electronic instrumentation, complex drum programming, and experimental production techniques. The reissue project, overseen by Godrich and the band, involved remastering and sequencing previously archived material to create a cohesive retrospective of that creative period. This compilation coincided with Radiohead's broader archival project that year, which also included the release of the OKNOTOK vault containing unreleased material from the OK Computer era.
