Analogue Productions — RRAP 0039

Elephant was recorded at康bridge's Toe Rag Studios in London between 2002 and 2003, with the band working with producer/engineer Liam Watson, who was known for his analog recording techniques and vintage equipment. The White Stripes chose the studio specifically for its old-fashioned approach and lack of modern digital technology, recording to two-inch tape. Watson's minimalist production philosophy complemented Jack White's vision of capturing raw, energetic performances with minimal overdubbing. The album was released in March 2003 and became one of the band's most commercially successful works, with its direct recording approach influencing the resurgence of lo-fi and garage rock aesthetics in the early 2000s.
