Dear Science

First released

Dear Science, TV on the Radio's third studio album, was recorded primarily at Allaire Studios in upstate New York during 2009 and 2010. The album was produced by the band alongside David Fridmann, an accomplished engineer and producer known for his work with The Flaming Lips and Broken Social Scene. The recording process emphasized experimentation with analog and digital technologies, incorporating layered vocal arrangements and complex orchestral elements that expanded upon the band's previous sonic palette. The album marked a deliberate shift toward more polished production compared to their earlier work while maintaining their experimental sensibilities. Dear Science was released in September 2010 and represented a significant commercial and critical success for the band.
